Beat the Heat

Hello, I am Sabrina, the Stylephile. Anywho, today I am going to show you how to prevent these babies.

Yes we all get them. The infamous sweat that drowns our days in the doom of embarrasment and discomfort. Today I will teach you how to PREVENT them in every way possible.

Step One: Well this one is the most obvious one, but find a deodorant/antiperspirant that works for you. Antiperspirants prevent wetness, and deodorant prevents smell. There are many brands on the market. There are natural ones, heavy ones, spray, cream, so many. It may take years to find one that you like best. Check online reviews about deodorant or ask a friend if you are lost.

Step Two: Find out the little tricks. Deodorant soaks into your skin better at night, so apply it before bed to stay fresh all day, instead of the morning where it doesn’t sink in and work as effectively. Baking soda and baby powder both soak up wetness if you need a little extra “oomph” to you pit protection. Hand dryers in bathrooms will dry wet stains in a jiffy, and you can always carry a light jacket or overshirt just in case of the sweaty shirt sickness. You can also purchase little friends to help soak up the sweat. Here is a link: http://www.sweatex.com/ Yes, they are a real thing. If stress is a factor in sweating, then consider partaking is stress relieving activities such as meditation, yoga, or for on the moment stress, find good coping method to keep you from sweating the small stuff.

Step Three: Find comfortable wardrobe. Ones that are tights will stain easier than loose ones. Black makes the stains less obvious, whereas the lighter the more obvious.  If you want to prevent odor, you should pick fabrics that breath like cotton. To prevent wetness, pick synthetics like polyester. They repel water. Pick shirts without sleeves like tank tops, camisoles, halters and sleeveless shirts. Baggy sweaters, tees, and tanks are also very effective. Pick cool clothes to keep you from overheating like shorts, dresses and skirts, etc. Layers are also VERY helpful. If you layer a shirt with a caridgan the shirt will absorb all the sweat and it won’t show throught the second shirt.

Step Four: If you are seriously worrying about sweat, then there are medications you can take, a surgery available, but this is mostly available for people with serious conditions. You should talk to your doctor and reasearch before seriously considering this.

Step Five: Accept it. Everybody sweats. It is a natural process to lower your bought temperature. And it realease toxins from your body. Don’t let the sweat get to you. Enjoy whatever you are doing, focus on sometihng besides your underarms. Because honestly, they are only a minscule part of your body, and don’t matter to who you are. Just be comfortable getting a little wet. Life isn’t a classic wodden coaster with it’s bumps, it is also a ride you will get wet on. So have a great day.
